Wedding Photographer London : Islington Town Hall : Nanako and Jon
When I arrived at the Islington Town Hall, we shared the outside area with the previous wedding and their guests, but it wasn’t long before we were ushered into the impressive Council Chambers.
An amazing room to get married in.
During the signing, a friend of Nanako’s played the violin.
We then drove a short distance to The Compass, and stopped on the way for some urban wedding photography.
The Compass pub was shut for the rest of the day to the public, and all setup for the meal.
Whilst the guests had their meals, I had a lovely main course of Pork Belly with mashed potatoes – and a glass of water, no alcohol when I’m at work.
The day of the wedding was in the middle of the summer riots, and London was on edge. The police were definitely hyperactive, and fortunately they were not about to jump on the man holding the blue plastic bag.
Such a bizarre photo, “Don’t step on the baby”.
Yes, this is another bizarre moment. Its Nanako’s friend from Japan, who had travelled from there to attend the wedding.
She is playing her Nose Flute, and is being accompanied on the Violin – the song is “All You Need Is Love”.
I am drawn to the lighting and contrast of this collection! Nice town hall too! As a photographer in San Francisco, I also find our city hall downright magnificent! Timeless 😉
